Connection, Growth, & Authenticity.
My Approach
I am a therapist committed to helping others learn how to improve upon the lives they are living. My work focuses on meeting you where you are at, supporting you with warmth, and moving forward together to make adjustments where you see fit. I believe that change lives in genuine connection and collaboration, and I am looking forward to fostering those possibilities for you.
I tend to work through a Humanistic approach, and often call on the more structure and goal oriented Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) when the fit seems right for you. I also often incorporate pieces of Adlerian Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
I’m passionate about supporting others through transitional milestones in life, making changes to behaviors that are no longer serving you, and helping you take a closer look at who you truly are. My door is open and I look forward to the possibility of assisting you at this important time in your life.

Meet Katy
Hey there!
My name is Katy, and I became incredibly interested in human behavior and the field of psychology around the time my own family started having personal struggles with mental health issues. Along side that interest, I have always been what I would consider a “people helper” at my core, so the calling of becoming a therapist was something that just felt natural.
I decided to embark on the journey of becoming a therapist in 2012, starting out with becoming an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. My passion for psychology pushed me to continue my education, completing my Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2016 and becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Fall of 2019. My experience has primarily been with college students, though their ages have ranged from 15 to 74. While working with substance use and abuse issues is still a passion of mine, I also feel my areas of expertise lie within depression, anxiety, relationships and communication, and women’s issues.
To speak to therapy - you are the expert of your own life. I am just along to help you navigate your path and to encourage you to take a deeper look at things that might not always be in your immediate plane of sight. Consider me a companion on your self exploration journey.
